The Spider of Camorr, generally referred to as simply the Spider, is an intelligence agent and the leader of Duke Nicovante's personal guard. The Spider's existence has never been officially confirmed to the public and is generally regarded as a somewhat mystical figure to the citizens of Camorr. Doña Angiavesta Vorchenza occupies this role for the majority of The Lies of Locke Lamora up until the defeat of the Gray King, at which point she bequeaths her duties to Don Lorenzo Salvara and Doña Sofia Salvara.
